LOVE!! [150106]

Love

1 Corinthians 13: 4-8, 13

Love is patient, love is kind.

It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails…

And now these three remains: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is Love.

Colossians 3: 12-14

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.

Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

And over all these virtues put on Love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Trust

God is not a man from another planet
(Mormonism).
Nor is Jesus a created angel
(Jehovah's Witnesses).
Jesus is not a mere prophet
(Islam).
He is not a man in tune with the divine consciousness
(New Age).
Nope.
Jesus is God in flesh
(Jn 1:14),
Creator
(Jn 1:3),
Redeemer
(Jn 14:6),
and the Lover of our Souls
(Jn 3:16).
Therefore, in all things trust in Him and in Him alone.
Trust Him to be faithful to you.
Like the verse in the middle of the Bible, Psalm 118:9, says
"It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes," (KJV).

This week's Special [ 8 Jan '06]

Nehemiah 8:10 ( NIV )
10 Nehemiah said, "Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the JOY of the LORD is your strength."

Philippians 4:11 NIV (NIV)
11I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.

JOY is the opposite of HAPPY !

For Happiness is an Emotional Reaction
but Joyfulness is a Purposeful Act to Please God.
